Frequently asked

What are the 14 CFR 135.267 flight time limits?

For unscheduled one- and two-pilot crews, 135.267(b) limits flight time in any 24 consecutive hours to 8 hours for one pilot and 10 hours for two pilots. 135.267(a) sets cumulative limits of 500 hours per calendar quarter, 800 per two consecutive quarters, and 1,400 per calendar year.

How much rest does 135.267 require?

135.267(d) requires at least 10 consecutive hours of rest during the 24-hour period preceding the planned completion of the assignment. Reduced rest is possible under 135.267(e) but never below an 8-hour floor, and requires scheduled compensatory rest.

Is this calculator a substitute for my Director of Operations?

No. It is advisory decision support that cites the regulation. Operational control always remains with the certificate holder under 14 CFR 135.77. Validate every assignment against your own OpSpecs and General Operations Manual.
