Part 135 Pre-Dispatch Checklist

Confirm each crew member has received the required consecutive rest hours before the planned duty period.

Flight Risk Assessment Tool completed, scored, and filed. Required by most OpSpecs and strongly recommended by FAA advisory circular.

Verify the planned route, area of operation, and special authorizations are covered under your certificate holder's Operations Specifications.

Confirm the aircraft has a valid airworthiness certificate, MEL items reviewed, and all required inspections are current.

IFR or VFR weather minimums verified at departure, destination, and alternates for the planned time of flight.

Calculated fuel load meets the regulatory minimums including reserve for the planned route and alternate.

Passenger names, weights, and baggage accounted for. Weight-and-balance computed and within limits.

All assigned crew members are current on drug and alcohol testing and have not consumed alcohol within 8 hours of reporting.

Director of Operations has reviewed and authorized the flight where required by your GOM, especially for FRAT AMBER/RED or non-routine operations.

Ensure flight records, crew duty logs, and dispatch documentation will be retained per the required schedule.
